Opportunity to work on e of the UK`s forthcoming major privately funded power generation projects Our client has received approval and funding to construct and operate a 900MW IGCC facility in South Yorkshire The power plant will be fuelled by coal and will be capable of capturing the harmful CO2 prior to combustion The client is currently looking to appoint a number of Senior Team members Technical Contracts Manager To manager the development of the interface of the major off-sites connection facilities to Electricity (National Grid) and Gas plus others I.e. water and water discharge The project value for the offsite works is c£50.0m over a 3-year period Candidates will have a proven power industry background with particular knowledge of the code of practice for connection to the national grid and experience of 400KV transmission systems. Your technical competence will include connection to the National Grid Ideally you will have experience of working for/with with a major Utilities company and will have experience of developing agreements for the supply of electricity. The role whilst initially development will move long term into an operational role Remuneration Package: c£70k plus benefits
