Our Presitigious Client requires a Chief Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer to lead the department at there Teeside based offices.

The priamy role of the succesfull candidate will be to initiate and support the promotion, dissemination and contribution towards a healthy, safe, environmentally sound and secure working environment, in the home office, on projects and during visits and periods on site or in other offices. To be aware of response and actions required, and to implement these actions, in the event of excursions from the safe conditions.

To provide discipline technical and engineering services to a standard and proficiency commensurate with their Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Assurance (HSEQ) System.

To provide support and technical responsibility for proposals and projects.

To act as an initial (and if relevant final) focal point for complex or problem technical issues from proposals or projects and to ensure that actions are ascribed and closed out.

To undertake Discipline Departmental duties.

To advise the Engineering Manager of any significant issues relating to the performance of the Discipline Department.

Responsibilities
The execution of proposal and project work, in a Project Leader, Lead Discipline or consultative capacity or to ascribe competent resources for these roles and in consultation advise and allocate other proposal and project resources.

To monitor and periodically review with the Lead Discipline Engineer, and senior project management the performance and conformance of the Discipline on proposal and projects. To ascribe and close actions where determined.

To provide technical erudition in calculations, drawings, diagrams, procedures and reports, or to recognise personal development needs in the areas of personal qualifications and experience.

To develop and provide specialist skills and judgement in areas of recognised personal competence.

To review the skills, capabilities and competencies of the Discipline Department and provide advice and action closure for areas of development need. Ensure that the resources possess the correct qualities and presence to fulfil the role ascribed to them.

To be familiar with their HSEQ manuals, and to have an understanding of the engineering required to meet the needs of local, national and international governing standards including Legislation (including Regulations), Codes of Practice (including ACOPs), Guidance Notes, technical codes, standards and procedures and Notices.

Maintain a contemporary technical and managerial competency through familiarity and knowledge of their HSEQ System and through knowledge and learning of developments in the discipline subject area.
