Opportunity to work on one of the UK`s forthcoming major privately funded power generation projects Our client has received approval and funding to construct and operate a 900MW IGCC facility in South Yorkshire The power plant will be fuelled by coal and will be capable of capturing the harmful CO2 prior to combustion The client is currently looking to appoint a number of Senior Team members Client Construction Manager Representing the client responsible for the entire on site contraction. You will represent the client on all construction matters liaising extensively with all parties involved but chiefly with the appointed EPC/EPM contractor. Duties will include full responsibility for CDM, full site preparation and selection of contractors. Ideally candidates will experience of working with major EPC contractors on large multidiscipline contracts ideally power however consideration will be given to strong candidates with exp of petrochemical or Oil and gas projects. Candidate must have strong construction background on large value projects; due to the complexity of the structures on the project client preference is for candidates who can demonstrate experience of the full life cycle of a project from major civil engineering works through to installation and commissioning of high value capital plant and equipment.
